THE DESIGN HOUSE
Petrichor was founded in 2015 in the suburbs of New Delhi, and is today a premium lifestyle brand, with export relationships in over 12 countries and a growing retail operation across India since mid 2019. We design, produce and sell contemporary furniture, furnishings, and lighting for living, dining, sleeping, home-office and outdoor spaces. We also help our customers create a personal home with our comprehensive in-home or store interior design service.
THE FOUNDATION OF A LEGACY
It all started over three decades ago in 1980, when Yuvraj And Sangeeta Narain founded the brand ‘Bandhini’. They began exporting furnishings from India to countries around the world. Establishing a retail presence in India quickly followed…
By 1995, The company was able to create a countrywide presence with 12 retail outlets across India, while at the same time consolidating its position in the international market with strong export growth to South Africa, Europe, and The Americas, positioning itself in the high-end stores such as Nieman Marcus, Roche Bobois & Crate and Barrel.
In Australia and New Zealand, Bandhini was already a well-known & respected brand name and still remains a special partner to us.
A JOURNEY INTO THE CONTEMPORARY
After a 10 year stint with Bandhini, Karan Narain decided to expand in a different direction. Petrichor was born as a way to express a new contemporary style – moving away from the traditional aesthetics of the past.

Over the years we have evolved greatly, from our humble beginnings of developing and selling woven furnishings, our latest obsession is luxe velvet pillows as well as outdoor pillows. Our work is intricate and our design – unhindered and free.
You can meet us at our New York show (NY NOW) in February & August, and in our New Delhi show(IHGF) in February & October.
We serve boutiques,interior designers as well as wholesale specialists at the same time.
Having our own factory in New Delhi allows us to sell products to the trade at wholesale rates, and while our minimum order value is $300.oo , we fulfill personal orders of lower values too*.
We keep limited ready stock, which is delivered within 7 days worldwide, while fresh orders are delivered in 3-4 weeks via FedEx Air.
